The garden had an intimate feel – with benches tucked away in corners and a courtyard with an al fresco dining area, laid for Afternoon Tea, served on David Austin’s English Rose tableware. The centrepiece of the garden was an oversized rustic planter filled with ‘Kew Garden’s’ mass of single, white flowers and the contrasting pink rosettes of ‘Harlow Carr’. The borders were overflowing with a blend of English Roses and shrub roses, with ‘Malvern Hill’s’, a soft yellow, repeat-flowering rambler, acting as a fragrant backdrop against the far wall. A decorative wrought iron gate adds another vista to this pretty garden. |
