Wisteria floribunda 'Violacea Plena' is an outstanding double, rare in the trade and difficult to obtain, this cultivar dates back to the late 1870's. Beautiful double purple flowers clustered on fluffy 13 to 14 inch racemes are the most fragrant of any wisteria! Brilliant yellow fall color is also considered best of all wisteria cultivars.
The branches of Wisteria floribunda 'Violacea Plena' twist around their support like a liana, which makes them perfect for embellishing walls, gates, fences pergolas, railings, banisters, pillars or even leave them to climb and twist themselves around the trunks and branches of other trees.
