A yellow rose of delicate beauty; the flowers are of a particularly pleasing cupped formation.

The centre petals are in the form of a rich, deep yellow cup, while the outer petals fall back and fade to palest yellow providing a most pleasing, two-tone effect.  
The growth is strong but graceful, displaying the flowers nicely.  
Pleasant, medium-strong Tea Rose fragrance.

Good disease-resistance and repeat-flowering.  
Named for Mr. Ulrich Meyer, after his wife Georgia, both of whom are well known media personalities in Germany.
Winner of the Henry Edland Medal in 2000 for the best scented variety in the R.N.R.S.

Trials and awards in other trials both in the UK and around the world.

4 x 3.5 ft or 6-8 ft as a climber.

‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ bears large, bright crimson blooms.

They are beautifully formed; deeply cupped with loosely packed petals intertwined at the centre of each bloom.

The petals eventually turn back to give a domed, less formal, but still attractive, flower.

They bend over with their weight, to give an elegant effect. There is a pleasing Old Rose fragrance.

It is a good choice for cutting for arrangements in the home.

It forms a healthy, medium-sized shrub with robust, bushy and spreading growth.

The large, dark green leaves complement the colour and size of the blooms perfectly.

With its striking, crimson blooms it will make a very pretty sight both as a shrub and as a short climber, especially when fanned out to encourage maximum flowering.

Its relatively compact growth makes it ideal for growing against an obelisk or on wall near a doorway.

Named after the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s novel.

An excellent pure yellow rose, that combines unusually strong and healthy growth with blooms of the utmost delicacy and charm.

These are quite large and evenly shaped, with many small petals opening to form a flat flower.

They have a softness of texture which is most pleasing, and look particularly fine when arranged in a bowl.
Its fine fragrance is a perfect balance between a classic Tea scent and the English Rose, myrrh fragrance.
The Pilgrim is taken from Chaucer’s ‘Canterbury Tales’.

The cupped, loose petalled, rosette-shaped flowers of ‘William Morris’ are a lovely glowing shade of apricot-pink, paling slightly on the outside of the petals.

There is a strong fragrance with elements of tea and fruit. It repeat flowers well. ‘William Morris’ forms a large, well-rounded shrub with good disease resistance.

A vigorous variety, its growth is tall and slightly arching with light green, rather glossy foliage and few thorns.

It is extremely hardy and reliable, making it an ideal rose for further back in the border, where it will withstand some competition better than most.

‘William Morris’ is perhaps better grown as a short climber.

Named after the artist, designer and writer to mark the centenary of the University of East London.
