Clematis mandschurica

A non-clinging herbaceous perennial, forming masses of small, star-shaped and lightly scented white flowers from July to September. The scent is more distinguished in a sunny position. It grows up to 1,5 m.

Clematis 'Andromeda'

A moderately fast growing cultivar with bicolor flowers: creamy pink with a vivid pink stripe at the center of the sepals. Yellow stamens. Semi-double flowers are borne from the end of May to the end of June. In September it repeats flowering, abounding with large but single flowers. It doesn't like extremely hot, sunny areas.

Particularly suitable for trellises, stakes and other garden supports. It can clamber over natural supports e.g. small trees or large, deciduous or coniferous shrubs.

Clematis Comtesse de BouchaudA healthy, moderately fast growing and free-flowering cultivar. Beautiful, medium-size, soft rose-pink flowers with cream anthers, borne from June to September. Ideal for growing over fences, walls, arbors, pergolas, trellises and poles. It can be grown into natural supports such as small trees or over large bushy, deciduous or coniferous shrubs.

Suitable for cultivation in large containers on terraces and balconies.

Clematis Ernest MarkhamA moderately growing, floriferous cultivar. Glowing red-violet flowers with a velvety sheen and cream-brown stamens. Excellent for walls, arbors, pergolas, trellises and poles. It can also be grown into natural supports such as small trees or over large bushy, deciduous or coniferous shrubs. Suitable for cultivation in large containers. Particularly useful for sunny sites.

Clematis henryi
One of the oldest large-flowered cultivars. Ever since its introduction in 1865 it has proved very popular and appreciated. Silky-white flowers with a central tuft of coffee anthers on white filaments. Pruned lightly it will bloom profusely from June to August, when cut back hard first flowers will appear a month later, but they will continue to be borne till September.

Best planted in a sheltered position, against a dark background. Suitable for fences, arbors, trellises, stakes and other garden supports. It can clamber through natural supports, e.g. deciduous and coniferous bushes, or dwarf shrubs.

Clematis Jackmanii
The oldest large-flowered cultivar raised in England in 1858. Spectacular, dark, violet-purple, semi-nodding flowers with green stamens are borne in great profusion from July to October. A healthy and hardy variety.

Ideal for fences, walls, arbors, pergolas, trellises and wooden supports. It can clamber over natural supports e.g. small trees or large, deciduous or coniferous shrubs. Suitable for cultivation in large containers.

Clematis Nelly MoserA moderately fast growing cultivar with bicolor flowers. Large, pale mauve-pink blooms with red anthers, each sepal with a carmine central bar, are profusely borne in May and June and again in July-September. It doesn’t like extremely hot, sunny areas, best planted on a north wall or in a shady position to prevent bleaching.

Excellent for growing over fences, walls, arbors, pergolas, trellises and poles. It can also be grown over natural supports such as coniferous or deciduous bushes and dwarf shrubs.

A superb cultivar for hot sunny positions. Lavender blue flowers with purple stamens, borne from June to August. Twines around the supports by means of petioles.

Suitable for covering fences, pergolas and arbours or training over garden supports such as trellises and poles. It can climb over natural supports such as small trees and shrubs.

Particularly useful for full sun, especially in proximity to yellow leafed of yellow flowered shrubs.

Clematis xerxesA moderately fast growing and floriferous cultivar with a long flowering period. Large deep violet-blue flowers with deep red stamens.

Suitable for growing among shrubs and in containers. Very effective when grown against a light background.
